Paralegal - Real Estate - Fort Worth

OVERVIEW: Duane Morris LLP, a global law firm with 800+ attorneys in offices across the U.S. and around the world, offers innovative solutions to the legal and business challenges presented by today’s evolving global markets.

SUMMARY: We are seeking a Real Estate Paralegal to provide legal support to assigned attorneys dealing with leases, purchase and sale agreements, financing documentation, lending requirements and related documentation. Other responsibilities will include coordinating with firm administrative personnel of intake of new clients and new matters for existing clients, conflicts clearance and monthly billing.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTION:

  • Assists and supports attorneys with research or due diligence.
  • Pulls relevant documents, proofreads papers, organizes files and creates document indices upon the closing of transactions.
  • Researches and analyses real estate law sources such as legal articles, legal codes, judicial decisions and statutes.
  • Facilitates all real estate agreements, purchases, transfers and special transactions for clients.
  • Collaborate with title companies to ensure action items are on time to meet deadlines.

    PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Extremely well-organized with the ability to handle detailed work with accuracy.
  • Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment and prioritize responsibilities.
  • Team player with a strong desire to contribute to the firm’s success.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
  • Excellent typing skills with a typing speed of 65 words per minute.
  • Excellent proofreading skills.
  • Excellent knowledge of correct grammar, spelling and punctuation usage.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint and Outlook.

    EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

  • The ideal candidate will possess a minimum of 3-5 years of experience, preferably in a large law firm setting.
  • Commercial real estate or transactional experience is required.
  • Experience with iManage (electronic document management system) preferred.
