JOB SUMMARY

We are seeking a creative and detail-oriented Marketing & Business Development Specialist to support the growth and visibility of our law firm, with a focus on helping brand our practice group in Employment, Labor, Benefits and Immigration Law (Class Action Division). This role is responsible for executing business development strategies, managing digital presence, and driving client engagement across multiple channels. The ideal candidate has experience in professional services marketing, strong communication skills, and an understanding of legal industry standards and ethics.


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Develop and implement target marketing campaigns to promote the firm’s services, with a strong emphasis on branding the Class Action Defense Team and elevating its market presence.
  • Lead the development of pitches and proposals from intake through submission, ensuring high-quality and on-time deliverables.
  • Track pitch and proposal initiatives and update content libraries.
  • Conduct and synthesize legal research to support the creation of publications, client alerts, articles, white papers, and marketing content related to employment and class action developments.
  • Create and distribute marketing materials including newsletters, client alerts, brochures, and practice group collateral aligned with brand strategy.
  • Coordinate events such as webinars, client seminars, and networking functions that highlight the practice team’s experience and insights.
  • Draft and edit thought leadership pieces and social media content, ensuring brand strategy and SEO best practices are followed.
  • Draft and edit submissions to key award and ranking organizations and communicate award accolades.
  • Track and analyze marketing performance metrics, providing clear insights and recommendations to improve campaign effectiveness and brand reach.
  • Maintain CRM/database lists and manage targeted email marketing campaigns for clients and prospects in relevant industries and locations.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with lawyers, managers, and colleagues across practice areas and departments.

    Ability to strategically brand the Class Action Defense Team, developing a clear market identity, differentiators, and consistent messaging across all channels.
  • Legal Content Development & Research
    Proficiency in conducting legal research and translating complex employment and labor law topics into clear, engaging content such as client alerts, articles, and thought leadership pieces.
  • Communication & Writing Skills
    Exceptional written and verbal communication abilities, with a keen eye for detail and the capacity.
  • Project & Time Management
    Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and coordinate across teams in a fast-paced environment.
  • Technology & CRM Proficiency

Familiarity with CRM systems, email marketing platforms, and marketing automation tools to manage contacts and campaigns effectively.


QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, Communications, Business, or related field.
  • 2–5 years of marketing experience (AM Law 100 or professional services preferred).
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Detail-oriented, organized, and able to manage multiple projects under deadlines.
  • High sense of responsibility, accountability, and focus on client service.
  • Strong business awareness – current events, competitive analysis, and opportunity evaluation.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively on multiple project teams.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, general web research. Legal research tools (e.g., Interaction, Hoovers) a plus.
  • Writing sample(s) will be required.

SALARY RANGE: $70,000-$90,000                                       FLSA STATUS: Exempt
