Paralegal - Private Client Services - Boca Raton

SUMMARY: Seeing an experienced Trust and Estate Paralegal to support the Private Client/Wealth Planning practice group based out of Boca Raton, Florida.  Working in a collegial team-oriented environment, our paralegals perform challenging and substantive legal work. This role provides essential support in estate planning, trust administration, and related matters, requiring strong organizational skills, discretion, and a client-service mindset.

 

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Draft, review, and revise estate planning documents, including wills, revocable and irrevocable trusts, powers of attorney, healthcare directives, and related ancillary documents
  • Assist with trust and estate administration, including probate filings, asset inventories, and preparation of accountings and correspondence
  • Assist in preparation and filing of estate and gift tax returns
  • Prepare trust funding documents, asset transfer paperwork, and beneficiary designation forms
  • Coordinate execution ceremonies, notarizations, and document recording
  • Maintain and organize electronic and physical client files in accordance with firm procedures
  • Track deadlines, follow-up items, and workflow for assigned matters
  • Serve as a point of contact for clients, financial advisors, accountants, and court personnel
  • Conduct basic legal and factual research as needed
  • Assist with matter intake, billing support, and document management system

 

QUALIFIED CANDIDATES SHOULD POSSESS THE FOLLOWING:

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in trusts & estates, private client, or wealth planning preferred
  • Strong knowledge of estate planning and trust administration documents and processes
  • Ability to handle sensitive personal and financial information with discretion
  • Strong organizational skills are imperative with the ability to organize and prioritize numerous tasks and complete them in a timely manner on an on-going basis, as well as under strict time constraints when necessary.
  • Must possess a high level of technical competency on various job-related computer software packages and applications including MS Word, MS Outlook and MS Excel.
  • Strong written communication skills with the ability to proofread material for grammatical, typographical and spelling errors required.
  • Interpersonal skills necessary in order to communicate successfully either in person, by phone or through e-mail (including directly with clients). 
  • Must be able to follow instructions effectively from a diverse group of legal professionals and staff and provide information with professional courtesy and tact.
