Commercial Finance Associate (Mid-Level)
Duane Morris LLP (a 900 lawyer firm with 20 plus offices across the country, and in London and Singapore) seeks an experienced commercial finance associate to join its strong and growing 200+ lawyer Corporate Practice Group in its Chicago office. The preferred candidate has five (5) years of solid and meaningful experience in one or more of the areas of acquisition financing (leverage finance), agented syndicated secured financings (cash flow or asset-based), fund finance, and/or healthcare financings, with a good working knowledge of Article 9 of the UCC. Background/experience in intercreditor agreements and agreements among lenders is a plus. The candidate should have strong drafting and negotiating skills; a desire for meaningful client contact and doing deals; and have an outgoing and engaging personality. This is an opportunity to work directly with the Firm’s Corporate Practice Group Chair and a Co-Team Lead of the Firm’s Banking and Finance interdisciplinary team. A strong academic background is required as well as meaningful law firm experience on sophisticated transactional matters. Large law firm or commercial finance boutique experience preferred. Competitive compensation and benefits. IL Bar admission required (or the ability to become IL barred relatively soon) is strongly preferred.
The target annual pay range for this role $295,000 - 300,000. Actual pay will vary depending upon various factors, including relevant experience, skill-set, current business needs and market factors. The compensation range listed is just one component of Duane Morris' total comp package for employees, which, depending on the position, may also include discretionary bonuses and incentive packages and firm-sponsored benefit programs.
