Technical Training Manager - Information Services

 

JOB TITLE:  Technical Training Manager    

 

DEPARTMENT: Information Technology

 

REPORTS TO: Technical Operations & Support Director

           

FLSA STATUS: Exempt

 

WORK SCHEDULE: Full-time

 

Overview:  Duane Morris LLP, a global law firm with 900+ attorneys in offices across the U.S. and around the world, offers innovative solutions to the legal and business challenges presented by today’s evolving global markets. This position will require a minimum of 4 days in the office per week per the firm’s hybrid work policy.

 

Summary: Change management and user adoption champion passionate about adult education, curriculum development and multi-platform training delivery who will lead the technical training programs for attorneys and staff, ensuring adoption of enterprise legal systems and firm technology.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead, mentor, and performance manage team of technical trainers.
  • Oversee the design and delivery of technical training programs for new hires, lateral attorneys, and staff, including onboarding, role based curricula, floor support, and just in time learning.
  • Develop and maintain training content and documentation (e learning modules, quick reference guides, videos, and knowledge base articles) aligned with firm standards and branding.
  • Coordinate training and communication for large scale technology initiatives such as document management system upgrades, Microsoft 365 enhancements, collaboration tools, and AI enabled platforms.
  • Ensure training team promotes secure technology practices, reinforcing information security and data governance requirements in all user interactions.
  • Manage LMS and related tools, including configuration, workflow optimization, and vendor relationships.
  • Participate in budgeting and capacity planning for training programs.

     

    Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in related field; equivalent combination of education and experience considered.
  • 3+ years’ experience in technical training or IT support, including leadership.
  • Experience in a large law or global professional services firm is strongly preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of legal technology platforms such as Microsoft 365, document management systems (e.g., iManage, NetDocuments), time and billing systems, case management tools, and major collaboration platforms.
  • Exceptional communication skills, with an ability to interact effectively with partners, senior leadership, and business services staff at all levels.
