SUMMARY:   Our Trademark practice provides clients with strategic day-to-day counselling regarding selection, procurement, registration, licensing and enforcement of their trademarks and copyrights on a worldwide level. The paralegal will work closely with multiple attorneys to prosecute, maintain and manage trademarks for our global client base.

 

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Conducts preliminary trademark searches
  • Prosecutes U.S. and foreign trademark applications
  • Maintains U.S. and foreign trademark registrations
  • Coordinates with foreign counsel to establish, maintain, and enforce trademark portfolios
  • Assists attorneys with opposition and cancellation proceedings
  • Regularly provides our clients with status updates

 

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree and/or paralegal certificate with a minimum of 5 years of experience managing a large trademark (foreign and domestic) portfolio
  • Prior experience drafting trademark applications and e-filing documents required
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines with minimal supervision
