Technical Training Specialist - Information Services - Philadelphia

JOB TITLE:  Technical Training Specialist

OVERVIEW:  Duane Morris LLP, a global law firm with 900+ attorneys in offices across the U.S. and around the world, offers innovative solutions to the legal and business challenges presented by today’s evolving global markets.

 

SUMMARY:  Assists in the instruction of attorneys and staff on various computer applications for the firm including iManage Work 10, Windows 11, Microsoft Office 365, Adobe Acrobat, Citrix/remote tools, and other programs related to document production and management typical in the law firm environment.   

 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

 

  • Develops e-learning and scorm packages using Camtasia, Captivate, HTML 5 and other modern scorm compliant tools.Develops course material on advanced topics, including litigation support applications, e-discovery platforms and business tools.
  • Manages curriculum development including revision control to ensure end-user population receives the latest version of quick reference material and training guides; works with trainers on software updates, dry runs, train the trainer sessions, and coordinating feedback after initial public offering.
  • Work with training manager to develop survey tools and ongoing assessment tools throughout the year.
  • Maintains current knowledge and understanding of adult learning methodologies and general principles of e-learning development.
  • Works with other departments to instructional materials specific to their applications; Participates in needs analyses and end-user standard studies in support of IS training support objectives.
  • Serves as subject-matter expert on an array of topics.Works with Help Desk supervisor to ensure Help Desk Analysts are trained on latest versions of applications and are part of the workflow of new software introduction.

 

EXPERIENCE/QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelors’ degree in computer science or related field with a minimum of three years of in-depth computer training experience (or an equivalent number of combined years of experience and education) required
  • High level of proficiency with Windows 11, current MS Office applications, legal industry specific software and technical writing
  • E-learning experience Web-based training and web-based e-learning development experience preferred
  • Excellent teaching, interpersonal, oral and written communication skills
  • Team orientation required; ability to work effectively with related staff members
  • Excellent analytical and project management skills; ability to work effectively and in a timely manner
  • Must have a strong sense of responsibility and cooperative attitude.
  • Ability to handle confidential information in a professional manner
