Paralegal - Private Client Service - New York (Park)

OVERVIEW: Duane Morris LLP, a global law firm with 900+ attorneys in offices across the U.S. and around the world, offers innovative solutions to the legal and business challenges presented by today’s evolving global markets.

 

SUMMARY: Our Private Client Services team provides complex, sophisticated services to individuals, charitable organizations and fiduciaries. The Paralegal will be responsible for supporting attorneys in all phases of trust and estate administration.

 

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Preparation and filing of probate forms
  • Drafting court documents; including petitions, receipts and releases, distributing estate assets
  • Preparing Federal and State estate tax returns, gift tax returns and other administrative filings
  • Interact with clients, attorneys, investment advisors; bank officers, etc.
  • Maintain custody accounts
  • Act as witness and/or notary at the signing of estate planning documents when necessary
  • Maintain strong public relations with clients and vendors as well as observing confidentiality andattorney/client relationships
  • Special projects as requested

 

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Interested in career-oriented candidates with at least 3 years of related experience and a strong desire to further their career in the trust and estates field.
  • Highly organized, detail oriented, industrious and well-rounded
  • Ability to multi-task and prioritize assignments to meet tight deadlines.
  • Strong mathematical aptitude and strong Excel skills.
  • A commitment to providing excellent client service required
  • Bachelor’s degree or paralegal certification required.

PAY TYPE : Hourly

ANNUAL PAY RANGE: $80,000-$120,000

 

 

 

Please Note: The hourly and/or annual salary amount is based on a *good faith* compensation analysis in pursuant of New York City Human Rights Law(NYCHRL) listed under *Senate Bill 9457*. Final starting salary/wage is dependent on the candidate’s experience level, industry expertise, skills and other factors that are defined in the job description.
