SUMMARY: Supports the firm’s business transition activities including but not limited to onboarding lateral attorney clients and matters and facilitating the transfer of client files related to arriving and departing attorneys

 

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Submission of new business intake requests for lateral attorney clients/matters. Review and evaluate client authorization and engagement letters to ensure compliance with rules of professional conduct and firm risk and loss prevention guidance/policies.
  • Review conflict of interest search results and other related/required information in order to facilitate clearance and approvals to open lateral clients/matters in firm systems.
  • Analyzes sufficiency and completeness of information provided about portable lateral clients/matters, associated parties and relationships, and scope of services rendered.
  • Assist with the electronic filing of documentation and database updates.
  • End user support for firm conflict and business intake applications, policies, and procedures.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s Degree required.
  • Minimum of three years related experience preferred.
  • Service and detail oriented work related style required.
  • Ability to define problems, analyze and collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
  • Good interpersonal skills necessary to communicate and interact with a diverse group of contacts and provide information with courtesy and tact.
  • Possess good organizational, planning and time management skills necessary to prioritize and successfully accomplish numerous tasks and projects and complete them under strict time constraints.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to effectively operate a personal computer with multiple related software packages.
  • Work occasionally requires more than 35 to 40 hours per week to perform the essential duties of the position; may require irregular hours.
