This senior-level professional will be responsible for creating and leading business development initiatives for practices and other industry group assignments. The successful candidate will be a polished, detail-oriented, highly-organized and responsive professional with a strong/proven track record of consultative sales experience, creating and implementing successful strategic growth programs for existing clients and new business targets - at the firm, practice, industry, team and individual attorney levels. Strong relationship-development, communication, client service, coaching, team mentoring, event, proposal/content development and presentation skills are essential. Strong project management skills, ability to organize and motivate lawyers and team members to implement and manage effective marketing and business development efforts and a proven ability to build relationships at the executive level are also essential. Budgeting skills important. Must be able to handle multiple tasks under tight deadlines and produce measurable results in a competitive environment. Interested in candidates with 7+ years’ of business development experience in a law firm or other professional services firm. Experience with one or more of the practice areas articulated above helpful. A sense of humor and humility would be nice. Bachelors’ degree required, JD and/or MBA desirable. Moderate travel required.
